As our practice has grown, we have tried to provide the same individual attention to each and every patient. We work as a team with you to keep our feline friends happy and healthy. Please help us by being on time for your appointments. Appointment blocks of 20 to 30 minutes are scheduled based on the complexity of the visit. These time blocks are even longer for multiple cats. If you are a new client, adding a new cat, or changing your personal information, please arrive 10 minutes early to take care of necessary paperwork.
Office hours are by appointment only to keep the waiting time at a minimum. These hours are:
Monday and Tuesday 9:30 AM-12:40 PM and 4-7:15 PM
Wednesday and Friday 9:30 AM-12:15 PM and 3-5:45 PM
Thursday 9:30 AM-12:40 PM and 3--6:45 PM
Saturday 9-11:45 AM
LATENESS AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
We make every effort to honor all time commitments and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. We realize that tardiness is sometimes unavoidable at times due to traffic or E.S.P. of the patient. In these cases, patients who are on time will be seen first. Late arrivals will be seen as time allows. It may be necessary to reschedule.
Please notify our office if you need to cancel or reschedule. We request this be done 24 hours in advance if possible to allow other patients the opportunity to be seen.
Emergencies can never be predicted. We will notify you upon arrival if we expect a delay. If you have an emergency or a sick cat that needs immediate attention, please make sure the receptionist is aware of this fact. We will try to accommodate you as quickly as possible.
Surgery patients are admitted between 8-8:30 AM. Prior arrangements may be made to drop-off as early as 7:30 AM. For the safety of your cat and others in the hospital, vaccinations must be current. It is at the discretion of the medical staff whether the vaccines will be given upon admission.
Medical and surgical patients are released during appointment hours unless prior arrangements have been made. Please call for the appropriate time.
Arrangements may be made to visit your hospitalized cat. Visiting hours are dependent upon the caseload of the day. Please call ahead and every effort will be made to accommodate you.
If your cat has an unexpected emergency, he/she should be taken to Springfield Veterinary Emergency Hospital at 6551-10 Backlick Road in Springfield (451-8900) or Southpaws Veterinary Referral Center at 6136 Brandon Ave. in Springfield (569-0300).
There is a veterinarian at each facility during the times we are closed.
Payment is expected at time services are rendered. We accept cash, personal checks, VISA, and MasterCard. Please inquire about fees prior to the procedure. We will be happy to provide you with an estimate.
We encourage you to call with any questions concerning your cat. Many of your general questions can be handled by a member of our staff. Emergency calls will be handled immediately. For non-emergency calls, it may be necessary to return your call at our earliest opportunity if the doctor is in with an appointment or performing surgery.
All prescriptions must be filled by a licensed veterinarian. Therefore, we request that you phone ahead for refills. It is against the law to dispense prescription medications if there is not an established doctor-patient relationship.

Boarding is done on a reservation basis. All cats must have proof of vaccination or have the vaccines given at the time of arrival. If evidence of fleas is found, appropriate treatment will be performed and charged to your bill. Due to the insidious nature of fleas, we cannot guarantee that your cat will be dismissed flea-free. Flea treatment prior to release at an additional fee can be arranged. We feed Purina ProPlan, IVD Lifestages Diets, and Hills Prescription Diets unless otherwise instructed. Please leave an emergency telephone number with us so we may notify you of any problems that may develop. Medical attention will be provided for any illnesses that occur while boarding.
Limited grooming is provided on an appointment basis. These services are limited to cats requiring medically necessary grooming, and to established patients that require injectable sedation. Our receptionist can provide the names of other groomers in the area.
