April 2001 Case of the Month

Stray Kitty had been seen roaming around Lake Anna for several months. At one point, she had a wound on the top of her head. She was rescued by a loving friend. Over the next few months, she was treated at another veterinary hospital for chronic upper respiratory infection. The infection did not respond to any of the normal treatments. On presentation to Kingstowne Cat Clinic, she was anesthetized and radiographs were taken. Click on the photos below to enlarge.

Stray Kitty was referred to Dr. Charles A. Kuntz at the Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield Virginia. He removed a bullet from the nasal cavity.

Stray Kitty can now breathe with no problems, and is adjusting well to her new home. She is very loving and appreciative of her new lease on life.
